Achieve your Kung Fu Dream. Learn authentic internal Chinese martial
arts and walk the path of self-cultivation with me.
Hi, I'm Joe! I study under Shifu Yu Weidong (于潍东), whose lineage is
both prestigious and well documented. I am an 8th-generation inheritor
in Xingyiquan (形意拳) and a 7th-generation inheritor in Baguazhang
(八卦掌), and I am honoured to share the teachings that have been
passed down to me.
During my time in China, I completed over 1,000 hours of in-person
training under Shifu Yu.
I also teach Chen Style Taijiquan (陈氏太极拳) and the foundational
practices of Meihuaquan (梅花拳), traditionally used as a form of
internal medicine.
Strengthen your power, speed, and endurance through Shaolin methods
such as Changquan (长拳 / Longfist) and Tantui (弹腿).
The way I received these arts is a living story: the roots in Xingyi and Bagua, their merger, and the direct teacher-to-student line that reaches me today.
Zhang Zhankui (张占魁, 1860–1940) is the key bridge in this story: he carried Xingyi and transmitted Bagua onward to Han Muxia (韩慕侠, 1877–1947). These streams were then brought together through Jiang Rongqiao (姜容樵, 1891–1974), shaping the merged lineage that was eventually passed on to my teacher and then to me.
